Zooballoo Cricut Cartridge

Do you think it was by accident I left the most exciting of the font cartridges until the end? Oh, contra’ my scrap booking friends! Whether you have been artistic all your life or just beginning to get the bug, the ZooBallo cartridge is a ‘must have’ for your Cricut cartridges library. It is two cartridges for the price of one, with both a zoo full of shapes and fonts included.

ZooBalloo’s creator, David Walker, like most artists, is rarely without a pencil and sketchpad. I carry a pad and pen, beside my bed, and in the car, to jot down moments of inspiration, before they get away! Walker’s first employment was as an art director with the Hallmark Cards Corporation. From there, he decided to open his own design studio. Walker draws his art inspiration from the organized chaos that comes from raising children and pets.

The six Creative Features are Lower/Layer Shadow, Lower/ Layer, Card, Box, Silhouette, and Shadow. Using the Lower/ Layer, allows the use of lower case letters, and cuts words instead of numbers. When this option is used along with the Shift key, it cuts the detail layer for shapes. The Card feature cuts a rectangle card blank with the letters and shapes you select. The Box selection lets you cut letters and shapes inside an empty square frame.

The biggest selling point of Cricut cartridges to me is in the details. ZooBalloo adds an element of surprise- DRUMROLL- it includes scenery! There are waves, clouds, snow, and mountains in the set. And of course, the animals, the elusive unicorn, cuddly elephant, and purple hippo add to the fun! I will not give the whole treasury away, but you will have the scenes to create a monkey swinging through the trees!
